  • Your local Area Agency on Aging is a great resource to locate services for seniors. Every part of the state is covered by an AAA. Programs such as meals-on-wheels, congregate meals, assistance with housing needs, managing healthcare, remaining independent in your own home, and in home services are just some of the services that the AAAs offers. They may also be able to assist with coordinating rides to the grocery store and the doctor’s office. The AAA is a great resource for referrals to community programs for older adults in your area.

To contact the AAA office in your area, call the Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116 or click here.

  • If you have questions about Medicare or Medicaid, such as how to apply, what type of benefits you can receive, problems with billing, concerns about fraud, or questions about Medicare Part D, MMAP provides a free health insurance counseling service. There are trained counselors in your local area that can assist you.
